Partizánske
Partizánske is a town in central Slovakia.
History
The town was founded in 1938 by the union of several villages (Malé Bielice (small Bilitz ), Veľké Bielice (wholesale Bilitz ) and Šimonovany ) and was until 1948 the name Šimonovany ( from one of the incorporated places ), then from 1948 to 1949 Baťovany ( named after the shoe manufacturer Bata ) and finally since 1949 Partizánske ( means " partisans city ").
