Pascal Themanlys

Pascal Themanlys ( born September 27, 1909 in Paris, † 25 June 2000) was a French (later Israeli ) Poet, Zionist and Kabbalist. His books on Jewish mysticism were laid in French, English and Hebrew.

Pascal was born in Paris; his parents Louis and Claire Themanlys were important pupil of Max Theon, and responsible for the Cosmic Movement in France. He met Theon only once in 1920 ( at the age of eleven, Theon was already over seventy ), although he claimed to have been initiated later by his father. This complemented his own studies of the traditional Lurianic Kabbalah.

During the Second World War Themanlys was in the French Resistance. In 1949 he emigrated to Israel, where he became head of the French section of the Jewish Agency. He was the founder of the Israeli- French friendship.
