Patrick Michael West ( born February 21, 1923 in Florence, Pennsylvania, USA, † 7 August 1996 ) was a U.S. American football player. He played fullback, among others in the National Football League ( NFL ) for the Cleveland / Los Angeles Rams and the Green Bay Packers.

Playing career

Pat West studying for his first degree at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Southern California. In 1945, West first played with the Los Angeles Bulldogs of the Pacific Coast Professional Football League ( PCFL ). After he was drafted by the Cleveland Rams in the 28th round to 290 place, he joined the team from Cleveland. Along with quarterback Bob Waterfield and wide receiver Jim Benton it was used as a fullback in the offense of the team. In his rookie year, he won the NFL championship with the Rams. After nine wins in ten games in the regular season he moved in with his team in the NFL playoff. Opponents were the Washington Redskins, who could be beaten 15-14. In 1946 he moved with his team to Los Angeles. During the season 1948 he moved to the trained by Curly Lambeau Green Bay Packers. After the round, he joined the Edmonton Eskimos in the Canadian Football League ( CFL). After the season 1949 he ended his career.
