Patrick Boyle, 10th Earl of Glasgow

Patrick Robin Archibald Boyle, 10th Earl of Glasgow ( born July 30, 1939) is a British politician of the Liberal Democrats, is among the 92 hereditary members of the House of Lords and is Chief of Clan Boyle and Deputy Lieutenant of Ayrshire and Arran.

Life

He is the only son of Rear Admiral David Boyle, 9th Earl of Glasgow and Dorthea Lyle. He attended Eton College in Berkshire, and studied at the Sorbonne in Paris. He served in the Royal Naval Reserve and left this in 1960 with the rank of sub- lieutenant.

The father's title ( Earl of Glasgow, Lord Boyle of Stewartoun, Cumbraes, Fenwick, Largs and Dalry, Viscount of Kelburn, Baron Fairlie ) he inherited in 1984., He was the successor of Conrad Russell, 5th Earl Russell in the House of Lords 2005 selected. He is representing the Liberal Democrats and is the spokesman for transport issues.

Patrick Boyle married on November 30, 1974 James Isabel, daughter of George Douglas James, with the two children.
