Patrick Koller

Patrick Koller ( born October 16, 1983 in St. Johann in Tyrol ) is an Austrian freestyle skis. He specializes in the discipline of ski cross.

Biography

Who grew up and lives in Söll Koller was an alpine ski racer at the start of his racing career. He took part in November 1998 FIS race in the slalom and giant slalom, and later at the national championships. Notable successes were made ​​, however, which is why he played his last race in February 2001. After a five-year break from competition he decided in the season 2005/ 06, to switch to ski cross. His debut in the Freestyle World Cup had Koller on 2 February 2007 in Les Contamines, where he was ranked 30 and thus immediately won the first World Cup points. Just over a year later, he scored the first top- 10 ranking in Hasliberg.

The thrust of the world's top managed Koller in the 2008 /09 season. On 19 January 2009, he went to Lake Placid in second place and thus was in a World Cup race for the first time on the podium. At the 2009 World Championships in Inawashiro he retired in the semifinals and was ultimately seventh. In the World Cup season 2009/10 he managed another podium, the worst result of this winter he realized at the Olympic Winter Games 2010. During the winter 2010/11 was Koller in World Cup races once each second and third.
