Patrick Wiegers

Patrick Wiegers ( born April 19, 1990 in Deggendorf ) is a German football goalkeeper.

Career

Patrick Wiegers played from 1996 at his home club SV Grün-Weiß Deggendorf and its successor SpVgg Green-White Deggendorf, interrupted by an intermezzo for SpVgg Plattling. Even as a 17- year-old he was careful several times the gate of the first team at the former Deggendorfer country division. His talent brought him to the Bavaria range and so compelled the SSV Jahn Regensburg in 2008 the young keeper for its U-19 team in the A- youth - Bundesliga South / Southwest.

From the season 2009/10 he was promoted to the number two of the professional team in the third league. As 3 April 2010 Rouven Sattelmaier retired hurt, Wiegers played the game to the end and replaced him even in the next game. The following year, a new experienced number one was obliged to Michael Hofmann and the young Deggendorfer remained replacement. After a red card or an injury of Hofmann he came in the season 2011/12 a total of three times for use. At the end of the season Regensburg reached number 3 in the league and then secured in the relegation promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. There Wiegers came in the 2012/13 season to twelve stakes rose with the SSV Jahn but directly again.
