Paul Albers

Paul Albers (born 15 October 1985 in Melville, Saskatchewan ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is under contract with SG Cortina in the Italian Serie A1 since 2012.

Career

Paul Albers began his career as a hockey player in Canada's top junior Western Hockey League in which he was active for the Calgary Hitmen, Regina Pats and Vancouver Giants from 2001 to 2006, where he the one with the Vancouver Giants in the 2005/06 season Ed Chynoweth Cup won. Then the defender received a contract with the Texas Wildcatters, the farm team of the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League, for those in the ECHL, he stood in the 2006/07 season on the ice. For the Houston Aeros of the links Sagittarius ran from 2006 to 2009 in the AHL before he was hired for the 2009/10 season of the Nuremberg Ice Tigers of the DEL. In 2010 he moved to the Krefeld Penguins. A year later, the defender of the Tohoku Free Blades from the Asia League Ice Hockey was signed. This was followed in summer 2012 the move to Italy, where he signed with SG Cortina.
