Paul Fischli

Club career

Paul Fischli began his football career with the juniors of FC Glarus. He also played as a 16- year-old already in the first team. End of the 1960/61 season the team rose to the second league.

1965 moved to the Fischli Young Fellows Zurich in the National League B, after the team had risen end of the season 1964/65. Fischli played three years at the club, but the team was relegated in the 1967/68 season again and the YF- club line has subsequently sold the whole team.

In August 1968 he moved to FC Basel. With the FCB, he was five times Swiss champion, one time Cup winner and a time Swiss Ligacupsieger. In all his time Paul Basler Fischli was never professional. For ten years he worked at Kost Sport in Basel, in the workshop for tennis rackets and skis.

In the 1979/80 season Fischli moved to FC Munich stone in the 3rd League as player-coach. End of the season the team was relegated to the second league. Under Fischli the team was 45 games unbeaten.

In 1981, Fischli to FC Aarau, heard a year later to play on, but remained for six months as coach of the first team.
