Paul Friedrichs

Paul Friedrichs ( born March 21, 1940 in Buchholz, † August 30, 2012 in Erfurt ) was a German Enduro athletes. He was a trained locksmith tractor, but was formed in the mid- 1970s via distance learning for masters of Forestry, Department of hunting continues. Frederick was married and the father of two daughters and a son, who also runs motocross.

Raised in Mecklenburg Friedrich came over the motor sports clubs MC tractor Franzburg and MC Dynamo Rostock to Erfurt for MC Dynamo. With the found here training conditions he developed into one of the best motocross and enduro athletes of his time. In 1966, he won with a two-stroke CZ first World Motocross Championship in the 500 cc class. The title he was able to defend in the next two years, so he was the first motocross rider after the Second World War, which won an international title three times in a row. In 1969 he was again third in the World Cup, three years later he was after 1965 for the second time Vice World Champion. He also won 23 GDR Champion titles in his career began in 1958. After he had occupied in 1972 with the silver vases team at the International Six Day Trial penalty points for third place, he ended his sports career.

After Frederick led the regional representative for MZ in Erfurt, where he lived until his death.
