Paul Gogarty

Paul Nicholas Gogarty ( born December 20, 1968 in Castlepollard, County Westmeath ) is an Irish politician and served from 2002 until 2011 deputy in Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish Parliament.

Gogarty joined the Green Party in 1989 and has since been an active member of the party. He was elected to the South Dublin County Council in 1999. Gogarty was first elected dated May 2002 for the Green Party in the Dáil Éireann. He was building on the Dublin constituency Mid West. Following the policy of his party, he laid down his mandate after his election in the South Dublin County Council and was replaced by his party colleague Fintan McCarthy. May 2007 was Gogartys re-election to the Dáil Éireann. In the next elections in February 2011, however, he could not repeat that success.
