Paul Hirsch (film editor)

Paul F. Hirsch ( born November 14, 1945 in New York City ) is an American editor.

Career

His career as an editor began in 1970 with the film Hi, Mom!, Which was directed by Brian De Palma. Other joint projects between the two followed. The latest breakthrough succeeded with Star Wars in 1977, his first collaboration with George Lucas, for which he was awarded the 1978 Academy Award. In addition, Hirsch received a Saturn Award for this work. In 2005 he was nominated for an Oscar for Ray again.

Paul Hirsch is a member of the American Cinema Editors.
