Paul R. Bartrop

Paul R. Bartrop ( born November 3, 1955) is an Australian historian and author. He lives in Melbourne and deals with the memory of the Holocaust and other genocides.

Life

In the early 1970s he studied at La Trobe University in Melbourne and graduated in 1989 his doctoral studies at Monash University from. Bartrop taught at Monash University, Gippsland Institute of Advanced Education, RMIT University, Deakin University, and the University of South Australia.

Since 1997 he teaches history, comparative studies of genocide, Jewish Studies (including the Holocaust ), Religion and Society in the Bialik College in Melbourne, where he is also head of the history department since 2003. He was professor of Holocaust teaching at the Martin- Springer Institute for Tolerance and Humanitarian Values ​​at Northern Arizona University, and visiting professor at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Bartrop served as President of the Australian Association of Jewish Studies, he is an honorary life member of the Jewish Museum of Australia, and since 2008 " friend of the Armenian community ."
