Paulino Reale Chirina

Paulino Reale Chirina ( born January 25, 1924 in Canicattini Bagni, Italy, † March 29, 2012 in Luján de Cuyo, Argentina) was a Roman Catholic Bishop of Venado Tuerto in Argentina.

Life

Real Chirina in 1937 joined the Minor Seminary of Syracuse on the eastern coast of the Italian region of Sicily, a; In 1938 he moved with his mother to Argentina, where his father had lived since 1926. In San Juan and Cordoba, he attended seminaries and completed the training of priests. He received on 5 December 1948, the ordained priest for the Diocese of Mendoza in the parish church of Maipú (Mendoza ). He was 1949-1952 parochial vicar of Our Lady of Luján de Cuyo, and from 1952 to 1968 pastor of St. Maria Goretti in. From 1968 to 1989 he was pastor of Our Lady of Luján de Cuyo in Mendoza Province, Argentina.

He was involved in Catholic Action, primarily for young people and workers. He built the schools of Santa María Goretti and San Pablo and the neighborhood help Santa Inés. He was in 1959 a member of the Cuerpo Párrocos Consultores. He taught as a professor at the diocesan seminary of Mendoza and from 1975 to 1983 at the Colegio de Consultores. Reale was 1982-1984 Dean of Godoy Cruz and a member of the Priest Council.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 19 June 1989 Bishop of Venado Tuerto. The Archbishop of Cordoba Raul Francisco Cardinal Primatesta donated to him on 8 September 1989, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Cándido Genaro Rubiolo, Archbishop of Mendoza, and Ubaldo Calabresi, Apostolic Nuncio in Argentina. Pope John Paul II adopted on 16 December 2000 his resignation due to age.

He was a member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy grave in Jerusalem.
