Pāvels Surņins

Pāvels Surnins (* August 4, 1985 in Liepāja ) is a Latvian football player. The defender has been playing his childhood in the jersey of Liepaja Metalurgs.

Career

Pāvels Surnins was born in Liepāja a port city on the Baltic Sea, which belonged when he was born to Latvian SSR a constituent republic of the Soviet Union. Already in childlike age, he joined the local Liepaja Metalurgs at where he plays today. In Metalurgs Surnins debuted at the age of 20 in the highest Latvian league Virsliga, there he was in his first professional season on seven missions. During the season he also reached the final in the Latvian Cup but lost to FK Ventspils 1:2 after extra time. The following year he came into the final of the Latvijas Kauss again and won this 2-1 after extra time. Here, the defender was the entire 120 minutes on the pitch.

In 2007 Surnins won with Metalurgs the Baltic League final against FK Ventspils to where he did not have good memories of the Cup finals in 2005. In the first leg at the Stadium of Ventspils Olimpiskais the stadium he sat at the start on the substitutes bench before he was considerate on in the 72nd minute when the score was 2-0 from his team, Andrejs Rubins for, in the end it was 3-1. The return match was on one side of the Baltic Sea club won this 5-1, Surnins came in the 71st minute for Dzintars Zirnis into play.

In his fifth season in 2009 he could ever achieve in the league 's first goal. In the away game on Matchday 3 at FC Tranzit he scored the 1-0 winning goal. This season, he could mark two more goals, Matchday 8 against FK Ventspils, as well as against FK Jurmala -VV 22 game day. These were his to date single goals in the Virsliga. In the 2011 season he started with Liepāja with four wins in the first four matchdays.
