Pembroke J. Herring

Pembroke Jones Herring ( born April 15, 1930) is an American editor who was nominated three times for an Oscar.

Life

Pembroke Jones Herring was born as the son of William Pugh Herring and Amelia Jones. He is the father of the cutter Craig Herring.

Since Herring 1966-1968 in the Western series Daniel Boone first autonomously eight episodes cut, he cut film comedies like The Lampoon, prosecutors do not kiss you and And Groundhog Day. However, there were three dramas, namely Tora! Tora! Tora!, This land is my land, and Out of Africa, for which he was honored with an Oscar nomination each for Best Editing.
