49th Academy Awards
The Academy Awards 1977 took place on March 28, 1977 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles. It was the 49th Annual Academy Awards. In the year of award films of the past year are always excellent, in this case, the films of the year 1976.
Peter Finch, who won for best actor, died on 14 January 1977. He is the first and only to present actor, who was honored posthumously in this category (Heath Ledger was posthumously awarded in 2009 for Best Supporting Actor ).
