Lalo Schifrin

Lalo Schifrin ( born June 21, 1932 in Buenos Aires, real name: Boris Claudio Schifrin ) is an Argentine pianist, composer, arranger and conductor. Life

Lalo Schifrin learned at the age of six years with Enrique Barenboim, the father of the conductor Daniel Barenboim, piano playing; In his youth, he deepened his knowledge as a student of Andreas Karalis and Juan Carlos Paz; also woke up to this time, his interest in jazz. With 20 to Schifrin competed at the Conservatoire de Paris, where he studied with Olivier Messiaen and Charles Koechlin. Back in Argentina, he founded a jazz orchestra in which Gato Barbieri played among others. He also appeared together with Bola Sete, who toured through South America at that time.
