5th Academy Awards
The Academy Awards 1932 took place on 18 November 1932 at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. It was the 5th Annual Academy Awards. Prizes were awarded films from the period between 1 August 1931 to 31 July 1932. First time at this ceremony short films have been taken into account, which were awarded in three new categories. Walt Disney won the first two of his total of 26 Oscars this year.
