Robert Glass (sound engineer)
Robert " Bob" J. Glass ( * ca 1940/41; † July 21, 1993 in Los Feliz, Los Angeles, California ) was an American sound engineer who once won the Oscar for best sound and another five times nominated been.
Life
Since 1948, he worked on numerous productions. In 1977, he was first nominated for his work in A new star in the sky for an Oscar. There were other nominations before 1983 for his work in ET - The Extra-Terrestrial was awarded the Oscar. Four times he was nominated for the BAFTA Awards.
Glass was found murdered on July 21, 1993 at his home in Los Feliz, California.
