The 713 km long Penzhina (Russian Пенжина ) is a river in the Russian Far East ( Asia).
It rises in eastern Siberia in the north Kolymagebirge. From there, the Penzhina flows through the foothills of the high mountains of this first in an easterly direction to the Korjakengebirge to, but then turns into an elongated arc to the south. About 60 km downstream of the located on the right bank Rajonverwaltungszentrums Kamenskoje, near the largest town on the river, Manily, opens the Penzhina in the Penschinabusen the Sea of Okhotsk.
The landscape at the Penzhina is mainly dominated by the boreal forest-tundra.
