Petar Gudev

Petar Todorov Gudew (also Petar Todorov Gudev written, Bulgarian Петър Тодоров Гудев ) (* July 13, 1862 or 1863 in Gradets ( Oblast Sliven ); † May 8, 1932 in Sofia) was a Bulgarian politician and Prime Minister.

Biography

Gudew graduated in law in Paris and Brussels. After graduation and his return to Bulgaria employee he was first in the Department of Justice and then in 1893 the Ministry of Public instruction.

His own political career he began in 1896 with the election of deputies of the National Assembly, where he remained until 1908. On October 17, 1905 he was elected President of the National Assembly.

Subsequently, he was appointed by Prince Ferdinand I as the successor of Dimitar Stantschow as Prime Minister on March 16, 1907. In his reigning until January 29, 1908 the Cabinet, he also assumed the post of Minister of the Interior. After Aleksandar Malinow was appointed his successor as Prime Minister, he pulled back completely from political life.
