Peter Gradin

Peter Gradin ( born December 9, 1958 in Långsele ) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey player and current coach. Since 2009 he has been head coach at AIK Harnosand in the Division 1 His brother Thomas was also a professional hockey player.

Career

Peter Gradin began his career as a hockey player with Långsele AIF. From there he moved to MoDo AIK, for its first team, he was from 1976 to 1978 in the Elitserien, the highest Swedish league, active. For the 1978/79 season the attacker from AIK Solna has been committed, in which he was in the following years for regular players and crowd favorite. After he was in the 1980/81 season with his team's runner-up, he won for the seasons 1981/82 and 1983/84 respectively with AIK Solna to Swedish championship title. In the 1997/98 season Gradin began his career as a coach in his parent club AIK Solna, where he once again laced up skating in the Elitserien for a single game. Then he withdrew first from the professional business back before he worked from 2007 to 2009 as head coach for IF Sundsvall Hockey from the HockeyAllsvenskan, the Swedish second division. Since 2009 he is in his home town at third division AIK Harnosand behind the gang.

Internationally

For Sweden Gradin took part in the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, where he won the bronze medal with his team, as well as the World Cup 1985 in part.
