Peter Hyams

Peter Hyams ( born July 26, 1943 in New York City ) is an American cinematographer and film director.

Life

The son of Broadway agents Barry Hyams and his wife Ruth began at the age of 17, an arts and music studies at Syracuse University, and made a name for himself as a jazz drummer. He played among other things with Bill Evans and Maynard Ferguson in New York night clubs. After his studies he began in 1964 a work at NBC as a news anchor.
