Peter Joseph Jugis

Peter Joseph Jugis ( born March 3, 1957 in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States) is an American Roman Catholic priest and Bishop of Charlotte.

Life

Peter Joseph Jugis received on June 12, 1983 by Pope John Paul II the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On 1 August 2003, Pope John Paul II appointed Bishop of Charlotte. The Archbishop of Atlanta, John Francis Donoghue, donated to him on 24 October of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Raleigh, Francis Joseph Gossman, and the Bishop Emeritus of Charlotte, William G. Curlin.
