Peter Lappin

Peter Lappin ( born December 31, 1965 in St. Charles, Illinois ) is a retired American professional ice hockey player. During his career he played for the Minnesota North Stars and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League.

Career

Lappin played from 1984 to 1988 at St. Lawrence University. In four seasons with the NCAA university team, he scored 85 goals in 131 games and a total of 187 points. In NHL Supplemental Draft 1987 him the Calgary Flames therefore already picked at the fourth position.

After his time at the College of Americans first played two years in the International Hockey League at the Salt Lake Golden Eagles before he was transferred in September 1989 from the Flames to the Minnesota North Stars. He has also been used mainly in the IHL, but came in the 1989/90 season in the Dress of the North Stars to his first six missions in the National Hockey League. After the right- wingers had in 1990/91 spent the entire season in the IHL, voted him the newly established San Jose Sharks in the NHL still Dispersal Draft in 1991. But even with the Sharks Lappin the entire season 1991/92 was used in the minor league for the Kansas City Blades. Only one game on the NHL level, he played this season for the Sharks. After the 1991/92 season Lappin ended his professional career.
