Péter Módos

Peter Modos ( born December 17, 1987 in Szigetvar ) is a Hungarian wrestler. He won a bronze medal in Greco-Roman bantamweight at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Career

Peter Modos began as a five- year-old in 1992 in Szigetvar with the rings and is still a member of the local association Ringer. It focuses on the Greek römischern style and has been or is being trained by Janos Modos ( grandfather), Ferenc Bacsa, György Struhacs and Ferenc Takacs. At a size of 1.70 meters, it weighs about 60 kg, but so far only launched in the bantamweight class that has its weight limit at 55 kg body weight. He is also well known in German circles Ringer, as he started for the KSV Aalen 05 in the German Bundesliga and struggling since the 2012/13 season for the KSV Köllerbach. Peter Modos is a student, currently denies his livelihood from the rings.

Between 2003 and 2007, he played seven international championships at junior level. He won five medals. The greatest successes were the profits of the Junior Champion title from Europe in the years 2006 and 2007. 2006 he won in Szombathely before the Turks Harun Bozoglu and in 2007 in Belgrade before Victor Wolfgang from Sweden. In two Junior World Championships he won a bronze medal in 2005 and indeed in Vilnius in the weight class up to 50 kg and in 2006 in Guatemala City in the same weight class.

In 2008, Peter Modos won a medal at an international championship for the first time. He won at the European Championships this year in Tampere the bronze medal. Along the way, he defeated Anar Zainalow, Estonia and Joaquin Martinez Abellan, Spain, lost to Rövşən Bayramov, Azerbaijan and ended up in the consolation round in the battle for bronze medal this notable victories over Nasir Mankijew from Russia and Jani Haapamäki, Finland. Other medal winnings reach him also at the European Championships 2010 in Baku, where he won a bronze medal at the European Championships and 2012 in Belgrade, where he won the silver medal. Good places he finished fifth at the 2010 World Cup in Moscow and at the World Championships 2011 in Istanbul.

Then were the 2012 Olympics in London to highlight in the previous career of Peter Modos. There, he won with a victory over Elmurat Tasmuradow, Uzbekistan, losing to Hamid Soryan Reihanpour, Iran and victories over arsenic Eralijew, Kyrgyzstan and Håkan Nyblom from Denmark winning a bronze medal.

Hungarian Championships

Peter Modos was Hungarian Champion in 2008 and 2009 bantamweight and featherweight in 2010. In 2007 he became a Hungarian runner- bantamweight, respectively in Greco-Roman wrestling
