Peter Telep

Peter W. Telep ( born April 8, 1965 in Yonkers, New York, USA) is an American novelist, screenwriter and university lecturer.

Telep wrote nearly forty novels and screenplays for several television series, including an unproduced script for The Sopranos. His novels include the film genre, mostly science fiction to, or tell stories by going to special military units. Some of them also treat the background stories of computer games, such as the Descent or Wing Commander series. His novels have been translated in part into German. He wrote under pseudonyms such as Ben Weaver, P.W. Storm and Pete Callahan. Currently Telep teaches at the University of Central Florida.

Life and career

Telep was born in Yonkers in the U.S. state of New York. At the age of about four years, he moved with his family to Long Iceland, where he spent much of his childhood. Later he was a student at Southampton College. After college, he aspired to a career as a screenwriter for film and television. He spent it a few years in Los Angeles, where he met a lot of celebrities and in television series such as working In the Heat of the Night, and The Legend of Prince Valiant. He then went to the University of Central Florida, where he obtained his MA. Since then he has taught there, the writing screenplays, typesetting ( composition ) and are creative writing courses. He is also a certified indoor cycling trainer and trained weekly with students in the local gym. In his spare time he is an avid outdoor cyclist.
