Petit Saint Vincent

The island of Petit St. Vincent ("Little St. Vincent " ) is part of the Grenadines, a group of islands in the Lesser Antilles. The island belongs to the administrative district of the Grenadines in the state of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and is the southernmost island of that State. To the south lies only 725 meters from the already belonging to the neighboring island of Grenada Petite Martinique.

The 46 -acre green island is dominated by three hills and three kilometers of beaches. Off the coast are coral reefs. The island had once belonged to the Archbishop of Trinidad and is now privately owned, 80 people live here permanently. Tourism is the only industry in the form of resort Petit St Vincent Resort .. One kilometer north-west of the island is the sandbar Mopion, which is used by the resort as beach.

A few miles north are the popular with the yachting crowd Tobago Cays.
