Petre Marin

Petre Marin ( born September 8, 1973 in Bucharest ) is a former Romanian football player. He played a total of 468 games in the highest Romanian football league and has twice won the Romanian championship.

Career

Association

Marin started his career in 1992 in Divizia C at Sportul Branistea and moved in 1993 to Sportul Studenţesc. After two of the second season, he moved to FC Naţional Bucharest. In January 2001, he moved to Rapid Bucharest and returned after half a year back to Naţional Bucharest. In 2004 he moved to Steaua Bucharest, where he played until 2010, and the Romanian Cup won in 2005 and 2006. At the beginning of the 2010/11 season he was under contract with Unirea Urziceni, sparked this end of August 2010 but early on. In January 2011, CS Concordia Chiajna took him out of the league II under contract and made him promotion to the Liga I. On January 4, 2012, he ended his active career.

Marin played against Ireland in 2004 his first international match, which Ireland won 1-0.
