Petros Hanna Issa Al-Harboli

Petros Hanna Issa Al- Harboli, also Petros Harboli, ( born July 1, 1946 the village of al - Sindi in Zakho, Kurdistan, Iraq, † November 3, 2010 in Gaziantep, Turkey) was a bishop of the Chaldean Catholic Church Zaku.

Life

Petros Harboli, who came from a family who had fled from Eastern Turkey Chaldean, received after the visit of the French Dominicans led by the Syro -Chaldean Seminary St. Jean in Mosul in 1970 ordained a priest. He was a priest in Zakho and Duhok the district.

Pope John Paul II appointed him in 2001 to the bishop of Zaku, one united with the Roman Catholic Church Chaldean Catholic diocese based in Zakho, Iraq. The episcopal ordination on 1 February 2002 gave him the Patriarch of Babylon, Raphael I Bidawid; Co-consecrators were André Sana, archbishop of Kirkuk, and Abdul- Ahad Sana, Bishop of Alqosh.

After heart problems Petros Harboli was first treated at the hospital in Dahuk and on 16 September 2010 in the American Hospital ( SEV Gaziantep American Hospital ) in the border town of Gaziantep, Turkey, misplaced, where he died. He was buried in the church of Mar Georgis in Zakho.
