Peyre (Aveyron)

Peyre ( Occitan: PEIRA ) is since 1830 part of the southern French community Comprégnac in Aveyron in the Midi-Pyrénées region. The area was part of the historical province of Rouergue, which was in 1779 attached to the Quercy. The village has about 120 inhabitants and was named one of the " Most Beautiful Villages of France " (plus beaux villages de France) excellent.

Location

The approximately 350 meters above sea level. d M. Peyre is located in a collapse boiler at a bend of the Tarn on the southern edge of the Causses, the foothills of the Massif Central, about eight kilometers west of the town of Millau. The visible from the outskirts of the village of Peyre from Viaduc de Millau is located just three kilometers southeast.

History

Attractions
