The Phantoms Deurne (new: Antwerp Antwerp Phantoms Phantoms also ) are a Belgian ice hockey club from Deurne, a suburb of Antwerp, which was founded in 1972 and plays in the Eredivisie. Their home games carry the phantom of the IJsbaan Ruggerveld.

History

The Phantoms Deurne, which were established in 1972, won in 1988 with the Belgian Cup their first title. From 1996 to 1998 the club won three times in a row, winning the Belgian Cup competition, two years later, the team also won the Belgian Cup for the first time. In 2001, the Double succeeded in winning the national championship and the cup competition. The eighth Cup victory could be won in 2005, so the club is also Belgian record cup winners. In addition, the club participated in the 2003/04 season at the discharge of the IIHF Continental Cup. In one group, with the two Spanish teams CH Jaca and HG FC Barcelona and the Dutch representative Amstel Amsterdam Tijgers achieved a balance of each one win, one draw and one defeat. While the Phantoms against the club from Amsterdam remained chance and documents with 0:14, scored a 8-3 victory against the CH Jaca.
