Phil Fearon

Phil Fearon ( born July 30, 1956 in London, England ) is a British music producer, songwriter, singer and multi- instrumentalist. He entered the 1980s under the band name Phil Fearon & Galaxy.

Life

Fearon was a member of the London R & B band Kandidate in the late 1970s. By the early 1980s he began to work as a music producer. Together with the singers Dorothy Galdes and Julie Gore, he produced inspired by funk and pop dance track. The first single was in 1982 still largely unnoticed; the second publication called Dancing Tight was introduced in 1983 by the Radio DJ Robbie Vincent in its mission and then reached number four on the UK Singles Charts. In the same year, two more singles were able to place in the charts. The singles of the year 1984 reached number five ( What Do I Do ) and tenth place ( Everybody 's Laughing ). After comparatively weak sales results of the next releases Fearon was the production of the single I Can Prove It in the hands of the time Britain's most successful producers, Stock Aitken Waterman. The title reached eighth place of the single charts.

1987 ended Fearon his stage career and founded the record label Production House Records. There, among other things published the Drum-and-Bass/House-Band Baby D, the UK Top 40 spearheaded by the rave single Let Me Be Your Fantasy 1994 two weeks ..

Fearon is married to Dorothy Galdes, the former singer of Galaxy and baby D. Their daughter Stephanie has been active as an actress.
