Philadelphia to Harrisburg Main Line

The railway line Philadelphia - Harrisburg ( engl. Philadelphia to Harrisburg Main Line) is located in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania and connects the city Philadelphia with the capital of the state. It branches from Philadelphia north of the 30th Street station of the Northeast Corridor and runs over Ardmore, Thorndale, Parkesburg and Lancaster to Harrisburg. The route was once part of network of the Pennsylvania Railroad.

The continuously electrified section is traversed from the Amtrak long-distance transport, and forms part of the Keystone Corridor. The regional trains of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority ( SEPTA ) only drive on the eastern section up to and including Thorndale. Freight traffic is handled by the Norfolk Southern Railway.
