Philipp Steiner

Philipp Steiner (born 20 December 1986) is an Austrian football player at the position of midfielder. Since 2011 he plays for SV Mattersburg in the Bundesliga, the highest Austrian league.

Career

Youth

Steiner began his career in 1995 at SC woman Churches in Burgenland. In 2001 he came to the Academy Burgenland, to which he belonged at USC Wallern until 2005 except for a brief interlude in 2002. He was brought into the first team of SC Neusiedl am See 2005.

Club career

After just one season in Neusiedl am See 2006 he changed to the Bundesliga SV Matter castle where he was ( playing in the Regionalliga Ost, third highest Austrian league ) to 2011 consistently in the second team active. 2011 Steiner came to his debut in the highest Austrian league. On October 23, 2010, compared to SV Ried of Defense for the Macedonians Ilco Naumoski came on in the 74th minute. The match in Ried ended with a 3-1 away success.
