Pinch Hitter

A Pinch Hitter, abbreviated PH ( dt: Einwechsel batter ), baseball is a reserve player who is not divided from the beginning in the batting order, but replaces a player who would actually intended, according to order, the next batter.

Pinch Hitter are usually housed in a residue when a team has to collect more hit singles than to prevent opposing points. Pinch Hitter are therefore more offensive than defensive in general. They usually reserve infielder - outfielder or as a baseball team not difficult to replace catcher or pitcher usually used for this role. Play a similar role a pinch runner, replace the players who are already on a base.
