Piotr Wilczewski

Piotr Wilczewski ( born August 9, 1978 in Dzierżoniów ) is a Polish professional boxer and former European champion EBU Super Middleweight.

Amateur career

Professional career

In December 2004 he played his first professional fight. He won his first eight fights against construction opponent before he punched in Ostrołęka on 3 June 2006 at the International Master title of the WBF super middleweight. He defeated the former Benelux champion Mike Algoet by unanimous decision. In his next bout, he boxed in Villa Park (Illinois ) for the first time in the United States and thereby defeated the southpaw Ottu Holifield by unanimous decision.

On 20 October 2006, he defended his WBF title in Wloclawek by TKO in the ninth round against Kimfuta Makussu. After seven more victories in Poland, he pushed on July 11, 2008 in Chicago against Thomas Reid and won by TKO in the second round. Reid then ended his career.
