Pissing Razors

Pissing Razors was an American groove metal band from El Paso, Texas, which was founded in 1994 and disbanded again in 2004.

History

The band was formed in 1994 by guitarist Matt Lynch, bassist Rick Valles, the singer Joe Rodriguez and drummer Eddy Garcia. Together they developed the first songs and it was followed by some performances. The debut album Psycho Punko metal groove appeared in 1996 in self-financing, where Garcia worked as a producer. Following the publication was followed by other performances. On a tour with Pro -Pain, and Stuck Mojo employee Noise Records on the band was attentive and took this finally under contract.

After the self-titled album was released in 1998, the album Cast Down the Plague in Germany was recorded under the direction of Andy Sneap. Before a tour with Skinlab guitarist Lynch left the band and was replaced by Cesar Soto. The album Fields of Disbelief followed in 2000. The album was as already produced the debut album from drummer Garcia, where he was supported by Sterling Winfield, who had already produced for Pantera albums. The album would be the last on Noise Records. This was followed by a tour. As the singer Joe Rodriguez had left the band before, to devote himself more to his family, Todd Brashear took the post of the singer for the tour.

After the tour, the band began looking for a suitable singer and a new label, which planned appearances in Europe failed. The singer Jason " Dewey " Bragg finally joined the band and the group reached an agreement with Spitfire Records. In December 2001, he published the album Where We Come From when this label. After the recording of the live album Live In The Devil's Triangle Bragg and Soto left the band. The album was released in early 2003. As a replacement singer Andre Acosta and guitarist Matt Difabio came to the band. The new album Evolution was added to Garcia's own studio for recording and mixing. After the album was released in 2003, the band broke up the following year.

Style

The band plays music that is described as a mix of Pantera and Fear Factory.
