Plana (crater)

Plana is an impact crater on the moon northeastern front on the southern edge of the Lacus Mortis. East of it is the crater Mason.

Plana is heavily eroded and has a central mountain on. The crater interior is flat.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Italian astronomer Giovanni Antonio Amedeo Plana.
