Poggio a Caiano

Poggio a Caiano is a town in the Tuscan province of Prato. The town has 9804 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012), an area of ​​5 km ² and is located 9 km south of the provincial capital of Prato.

Here, Lorenzo de Medici was from 1485 by Giuliano da Sangallo the magnificent Villa Medici building, which is open to the public today.
