Pokémon Mini

The Pokémon mini is a handheld game console and the smallest gaming console in the world, for which there are interchangeable game cartridges. It is a portable system with black and white screen, built-in clock, vibration effect, infrared interface and a shock sensor. The system is available in three different colors. Manufacturer of the console is Nintendo.

  • Pokémon Party Mini (ポケモン パーティ ミニ, pati Pokemon Mini) - This game comes bundled with the console and provides a collection of simple mini-games dar.
  • Pokémon Pinball Mini (ポケモン ピン ボール ミニ, Pinbōru Pokemon Mini) - A pinball game with tons of levels.
  • Pokémon Puzzle Collection (ポケモン パズル コレクション, Pokemon Pazuru Korekushon ) - Collection of different puzzles that unlock at addressing entries in the " Pokémon Minidex ".
  • Pokémon Zany Cards (ポケモン アニメ カード 大 作戦, Pokemon Anime Kado Daisakusen ) - Collection of different card games.
  • Pokémon Tetris (ポケモン ショック テトリス, Pokemon Shokku Tetorisu ) - implementation of the classic game Tetris.
  • Pokemon Puzzle Collection Vol 2 (ポケモン パズル コレクションVol.2, Pokemon Pazuru Korekushon Vol. 2) - Collection of 80 new puzzles. Only released in Japan.
  • Pokemon Race Mini (ポケモン レース ミニ, Pokemon resu Mini) - race in platforming levels. Only released in Japan.
  • Pichu Brothers Mini (ピチュー ブラザーズ ミニ, Burazāzu Pokemon Mini) - collection of six mini games for one or more players. Only released in Japan.
  • Togepi no Daibōken (トゲピー の だい ぼうけん) - Skill Game, needs to be conducted into the Togepi to fall over the floors of the tower. Only released in Japan.
  • Pokemon Sodateyasan Mini (ポケモン そだてや さん ミニ) - Tamagotchi -like game, care must be taken in for a young Pokémon. Only released in Japan.

Technology

The device has two kilobytes of RAM, 768 bytes of video memory, a 96 × 64 px large monochrome display and an 8 -bit CPU.

Programming

Through intensive reverse engineering the Pokémon Mini could be hacked. Since it is possible to develop emulators that simulate the Pokémon mini, and program their own games for the Pokémon mini, the presented demo " shizzle " provided at Breakpoint 2005 demoscene and in the media quite a stir.
