Pokój ( German Carlsruhe O / S) is a village and seat of the rural community in Poland with 1425 inhabitants. It is located 31 km north of Opole in Poland and is one of the powiat Namysłowski, Opole Voivodeship to.

History

The town was founded in 1748 by Duke Carl Christian Erdmann von Württemberg- Oels as a hunting seat, architecturally modeled after the Baden Karlsruhe, establishing the actual settlement Carlsruhe 1763rd In 1793 relocation of the residence of the seat of the Princes of Oels -Bern city from Oels after Carlsruhe, since 1817 was the stains also a market town. 1806-1807 was Carl Maria von Weber in Carlsruhe music director of Duke Friedrich Heinrich Eugen of Württemberg and composed, amongst others, his two symphonies. 1847 Carlsruhe was declared a health resort and the subsequent name Bad Carlsruhe.
