Poltár District

The Okres Poltár is an administrative unit in central Slovakia with 22,498 inhabitants ( 2010) and an area of ​​476.2 km ².

Historically, the district is one half of the former Nógrád ( southwest), the other half in the former county Gemer and small Hont (see also List of historic counties of Hungary ).

The communities Pinciná and Nové Hony, the first were part of the Okres were, in 2002 the Okres Lučenec slammed.
