Pölven

The Pölven is a mountain in the Kitzbühel Alps in Lower Inn Valley in Tyrol. It culminates in the Great Pölven ( lunch Kogel, 1595 m above sea level. A. ) and in the small Pölven (1562 m above sea level. A. ).

On the summit is reached by a small and easy ferrata. In the summit area has views of the Hohe Salve, Bad Häring, the Lower Inn Valley, the Wilder Kaiser, the Lofer Steinberg mountains and to Söll. The mountain range is one of the less known and less frequented by tourists according mountains. Occasional flight noise can interrupt the sleep, since this area is suitable because of the good thermals as a drag destination for gliders. In the quarries marl and limestone are mined and processed in the cement industry in Kirchbichl.
