Ponědrážka

Ponědrážka ( German Poniedraschko, older Ponjabrasschlag ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 24 km north-east of the center of České Budějovice and belongs to Okres Jindřichův Hradec.

Geography

Ponědrážka is on the left side of the Golden Lainsitz channel in the area of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Třeboňsko between the Lainsitz in the plane of the Trebon Basin. Surrounded is the site of several large fish ponds, to the north lies the Švarcenberk, rybnik in the west of Bošilecký and fishpond in the northwest of Horusický.

Neighboring towns are Veseli nad Lužnicí in the north, Vlkov in the northeast, Val and Vyšné in the east, in the southeast Frahelž, Ponědraž in the south, and Záblatí Lhotský Dvůr the southwest, Lhota and Bošilec in the west and Horusice in the northwest.

History

Ponědrážka was first documented in 1439.
