Pope Cyril V of Alexandria

Kirellos V. (* 1824 or 1830/31; † August 7, 1927 ) was the 112th Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the chair of St. Mark ( Coptic Church ).

He set up the theological school in 1894. He often took part in the lessons, took in discussions the word, examined students and supervised practical training. In his time, Coptic schools were established in villages and towns, which often were the only schools in many places. Despite his age he undertook a pastoral journey through the whole of Upper Egypt and the Sudan.
