Bolivian coriander

Bolivian coriander or cilantro Peruvian ( Porophyllum ruderal ) is a plant from the sunflower family ( Asteraceae).

Use

Description

When Bolivian coriander is an annual herbaceous plant which can reach maximum plant height of about 1.50 meters and a diameter of about 1 meter. The leaves are bare and broadly oval to ovate. The leaf margin is smooth or notched coarse and easily.

In total inflorescences many basket- shaped part inflorescences stand together. The flower heads have a long cylindrical shell of a few green bracts. The flower heads contain only tubular flowers. The petals are inconspicuous greenish crowded to whitish or slightly reddish. The petals are clearly dominated by the yellow pencils.

Occurrence

Porophyllum ruderale grows wild in front of the southern North America and Central America and in many parts of South America.

The plant grows on dry slopes or roadsides. In Bolivia, they grow freely to the cold highlands.
