Post is the capital and the county seat ( county seat ) of the Garza County in the U.S. state of Texas in the United States.

Geography

The city is located in the northwest of Texas at the Santa Fe Railroad, at the junction of U.S. Highways 84 and 380 in the center of the county, about 160 miles from New Mexico to the west away and has a total area of 9.8 km ², of which 0, 1 sq. km water surface are.

History

The town was founded in 1907 as a post- City of Charles William Post, a manufacturer of breakfast cereal.
