Powerlifting at the 2012 Summer Paralympics
In the Summer Paralympics in London in 2012 in a total of 20 competitions in the bench press (also: power lifting or weight pulling) awarded medals. The decisions were made between 30 August and 5 September 2012 at the Exhibition Centre London.
At the competitions of the men took 120 athletes in 10 weight classes from 48 kg to over 100 kg in part. At the competitions of the women took 80 athletes in 10 weight classes from 40 kg to 82 kg in part. The most successful nation was Nigeria with 6 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze medals.
