Poynette is part of the metropolitan area of Madison.
Geography
Poynette is located in south-central Wisconsin, about 10 km east of Lake Wisconsin, a reservoir of the Wisconsin River. This flows (180 miles west) at Prairie du Chien in the border with Minnesota Mississippi forming.
